A man and a woman are carrying a lead.
They are crushed and absorbed at the same time.
They are subjects and objects.
I altered the lead over then several times, sometimes quite finish.
The first lead was three or four times bigger than the final achievement.
But it doesn't bring us anything.
These former attempts refered more to industry, manufacturing;
the man and the woman were crushed by engines.
It was almost some kind of "socialist realism"...
Finally I reached this much more refined state, turned towards electronics,
computing. It looks as if their hands were "sucked" and not "crushed".
The onlooker won't be able to make out whether the characters carry or hold
back the lead, whether the captors on their bodies were laid with or
against their will...
That is why I dubbed this piece "The modern couple". Do they have minor parts
or leading parts ? There is certainly room for doubt, and that's how it
should be; puzzling, encouraging discussion...
Height : 45 cm , Length : 23 cm , width : 18 cm.
