As part of the sculpture competition organized by the Terres de Montaigu (Communauté de Communes Montaigu - Rocheservière) I proposed sculpting two children who express different sensations of reading: discovery, sharing, idea, wonder…; A young boy (6-8 years old) discovers reading, a girl (12-14 years old) projects herself there.
The little boy reads to his cat (this one seems very interested). The young reader shares the story he discovers. On the two pages of the book, I made engrave an excerpt from the "Kick Cat". (The cat’s interest is better understood). On her side the girl seems to dream with pleasure. She probably just read a text that moved her and she escapes into her thoughts. Reading for her is a wonder. Here too, I made engrave on the two pages of his book an excerpt from Gustave Flaubert’s novel "L'éducation sentimentale".
Books of different sizes are stacked on top of each other. Two books are placed vertically on either side of the pile, present their covers : Cyrano de Bergerac and Tartuffe, two theatrical works.

The following photographs present all phases of creation... The plaster of course (it comes in pieces to simplify the making of moulds) ; The transport "sitting in the rear" with their seat belts ; The manufacture of the many elastomer moulds ; Waxes (hollow) with their channels networks ; The melting and casting of the different parts ; the chisel the patina and, finally, and, finally, the inauguration (6 months have passed)...
