Bruce Krebs presents and comments on the creation of the sculpture entitled:

The deep-sea diver
a work by Bruce Krebs.



This idea came to me when I envisioned the diver and the deep-sea diver’s helmet as “suspended in the water”.
Specifically, I wanted to include both elements in transparent epoxy resin.
The diver was heading toward this cracked helmet. Both were not on the same scale.

...The idea of making this bronze sculpture came later:
But the diver could no longer be suspended in the void.
She had to touch the diver.
The diver observes the inside of the deep-sea diver’s helmet




This is a photo taken during the carving. Curious, she looks through the window of the diving suit. She is suspended by the feet while the two elements are welded "foundry crude".


The patina will then be made....
