From July 4th, 2005, to may 31th, 2006, Bruce Krebs, sculptor and multimediaster, has created a series of art works starting from the inheritance of the Fine arts Museum of La Rochelle, in France..."

"Condemned"

The painting of Gustave Dore entitled "the three judges" is the work presented in the La Rochelle Fine Arts Museum which I prefer. A painting in black and white worthy of the famous engraver. It is clearly-obscure "theatrical". The three judges, in height seem imperturbable. Both condemned are overpowered. One fell to ground, the other rests on him of tearing off the hair. The other "observers" divide themselves into two groups.

I proposed with the museum of the La Rochelle Fine Arts Museum to carry out a sculpture of both condemned. This sculpture is now presented in front of painting. It is covered with a black painting, slightly bluish, and brilliant to reinforce the effect of the zenith light. This light which goes down from the canopy of the large room of the Museum. I hope to give to the visitors an approach different from the scene, fact-even that it is about a sculpture around which one can turn...
