The text of this page: Le brochet : "Sais-tu ce qui t'attend au dehors, ma belle ?" La sirène : "M'en fiche ! Je sais trop bien ce qui m'attend ici !" Le brochet pense : "La nature est ingrate... j'ai le pouvoir de transformer cette femme-poisson... mais pas celui de me transformer moi-même ! Je lui refuse ce à quoi j'aspire depuis des siècles." La persuasion étant vaine, la sage songea alors à employer la dissuasion. Le brochet : "J'accepte, mais à une condition !" La sirène : "Je t'adore !" Le brochet : "Oh ça va !... Je ne te transformerai qu'en quelque chose d'utile." La sirène : "Oh oui, oh oui !... Mais !... C'est quoi quelque chose d'utile ?"
